Learning your newborns emotions can often be difficult. While it is very easy to tell when they are upset and desire something, it is actually much harder to tell when they're happy. Many new parents are worried because they think that their baby is always unhappy, they just do not understand what the signs of a happy baby are. Below are a few signals that reveal your baby is happy as well as some happiness milestones.

Therefore don't be concerned when you find yourself grinning and cooing and the baby is giving nothing back. When baby stares at you, this is a very good sign that he's happy.

When a baby is unhappy or uncomfortable he will arch his back and very likely begin crying. When a baby snuggles into you when you are holding him that is a sign that he's content and happy. Bear in mind babies are very good and picking up on your mood. So even though the baby is fed and has a clean diaper, he might be fussy because he is feeling your stress.

There is nothing like smiling at your baby and getting that sweet face to smile back at you, it is sure to melt your heart. Babies also start responding to what you do at this time, so forget about being all prim and proper and act your silliest.

The enjoyment really starts when babies are between 3 and 6 months, since this is when they start laughing, not just smiling. No two babies are identical, so you never know what will make the baby laugh. Some babies could find tummy tickles the most hilarious thing on the planet, while some might think the funny noise you create is the beyond the funniest thing ever. Whatever it is which makes your baby laugh, do it often because there is nothing like the sound of a babies giggle.
