Within the last year, I've found that people are starting to buy into
the idea of natural ways to select your baby's gender. Perhaps it's the
economy or perhaps it's because people want to take control of their
own health, but I'm starting to get a lot of emails that ask less about
things like IVF gender selection and more about natural things like
timing conception and going on an alkaline diet. In this article, I'll
describe how and why the low PH diet works if you want to conceive a
boy.
How And Why These Changes To Your Diet Help In Getting A Boy Baby:
In a nutshell, your baby's gender is determined by which sperm
chromosome (X (for a girl) or Y (for a boy)) gets to and fertilizes the
egg first. These chromosomes are polar opposites in terms of how they
interact with your reproductive tract. The girl or X sperm are slow, but
very strong and hardy. The Y or boy sperm are vulnerable and weaker,
but are also faster. If you want a son, your goal is to downplay this
vulnerability while taking full advantage of this speed.
How And Why The Alkaline Diet Helps You Get A Boy Baby: Remember
that the Y sperm are very weak, so they can't live for very long in an
acidic, hostile vaginal tract that has a high PH. So, you'll need to
lower this if you're trying for a boy baby. One way to do this is to go
on a special diet that restricts how many acidic foods that you consume
and gives you free reign to eat alkaline foods. So, you'll avoid foods
with a high PH like pickled foods, blueberries, peanuts, and meats like
beef and pork. And, you'll want to load up on low PH foods like leafy
green vegetables, raisins, grapes, apples, almonds, and green tea. There
are food lists that you can give you the exact PH of common foods and
help you come up with a daily diet. I know that few people get really
excited about restricting what you can eat, but understand that you
aren't limiting your calories (in fact, you'll want to make sure that
you get enough if you want a son) and you only have to do this until you
reach your optimal level.
Another thing that you can do to lower your PH is to douche. Again, I
know that this may not sound particularly exciting, but this is only
for the short term and you'll likely see very quick results when you
combine both of these methods. Know too that often baking sofa is not as
effective as people will tell you. You can test this for yourself by
using testing strips that will test the PH of your saliva. You can get
these at health food stores and you can use them to determine your
acidity going into this process and to monitor your progress as you try
different things. It's very common to see that using both methods
together will bring about the fastest and most dramatic changes. It's
entirely possible to get to where you need to be using only foods, but
this often requires a bit of patience.
Other Things For You To Think About In Your Regimen To Get Pregnant With A Boy Baby:
I
wish that I could tell you that changing your diet or douching could
absolutely guarantee you a boy baby. It does greatly increase your
chances, but it often isn't enough to give you the over 90% rate of
success that you can get if you add in other things. The first is
correctly timing your conception to coincide with your ovulation. To get
a male baby, you'll want to conceive on the day that you ovulate.
Again, testing your saliva can help you greatly with this. (Saliva
ovulation predictors are both inexpensive, reusable, and reliable.)
One other variable that you can manipulate is the sexual positions
that you use to conceive. Positions that allow for deep penetration will
deposit the Y sperm very close to your egg and vaginal tract so that
these little guys have a quick and easy trip rather than a long and
difficult one.
